Entrepreneurs Assistance Program (EAP)

The Entrepreneurs Assistance Program (EAP) is a pro bono program of the North Carolina Bar Foundation that coordinates attorney volunteers to provide pro bono business law advice and counsel to small business owners and entrepreneurs through webinars and clinics held in partnership with non-profit organizations throughout the state that advise small business owners.

Through the program, attorneys can volunteers in two ways:

1. Webinars that feature a presentation by a lawyer on a legal topic of current interest and relevance to entrepreneurs and small business owners, with opportunity for participants to ask general questions of the presenters.

2. Virtual "ask-a-lawyer" sessions that pair individual entrepreneurs and small business owners with business lawyers for 45-minute advising sessions and concerns and provide legal information and resources. These sessions will be offered quarterly (October, January, April, and July) along with exclusive "ask-a-lawyer" sessions with Foundation Program Partners.

Legal Aid NC announces Summer Associate Pro Bono Program 

Enrich your summer associates' experience while serving North Carolinians in need by signing up for Legal Aid of North Carolina's new Summer Associate Pro Bono Program. Launching in summer 2024, the program will enlist your summer associates to provide pro bono service to Legal Aid NC clients with cases involving criminal record expunction, domestic violence, housing conditions, and wills and advanced directives.

Volunteer Opportunity: NC Center for Nonprofits

The NC Center for Nonprofits, in collaboration with dedicated attorneys, offers crucial pro bono legal assistance to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. Nonprofits, who are Center Members, gain access to one-hour consultations, ensuring they receive the legal guidance they need. This pro bono program not only aids nonprofits in their missions but also provides attorneys with an opportunity to support organizations making a positive impact in their communities.
