Created by the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center in partnership with Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, Legal Aid of North Carolina, and Pisgah Legal Services, Pro Bono Go is a new online clearinghouse of pro bono opportunities provided by the state's leading civil legal aid and public-interest legal organizations. ABA/NC Free Legal Answers Summer Associate Challenge

In response to the increasing need for pro bono legal services and the desire to instill a commitment to pro bono early on in an individual’s legal career, the ABA is calling upon law firms and corporate law departments to involve their summer associates and interns in answering civil legal questions on ABA FLA.

The firms and corporate law departments that answer the most questions with the help of summers will be recognized by the ABA. Interested in coordinating an NC Free Legal Answers “Empower Hour” pro bono clinic with the NC Bar Foundation (which administers the Free Legal Answers site in NC)? Contact us at probono@ncbar.org.

Submit your ideas for the PBI 2025 Conference by July 26.

There are two ways to participate:

1. Session Proposals: Would you like to organize or present a session at the PBI Annual Conference? Submit a session proposal using PBI’s Call for Proposals Form. If you have more than one session proposal idea, please submit them using multiple forms. By submitting a session proposal, you are agreeing to organize and/or present a session if selected, and to create original materials (such as a slide deck) needed to secure CLE credit for your session.
2. Topic & Speaker Ideas: If you don’t have a specific session proposal but have ideas for topics and/or speakers that you would like to see at the PBI Conference, please submit ideas using their Topic & Speaker Form.
